How To Promote A Product Part I
If you know how to promote a product then you should not find it difficult to sell anything online. However, most people have no idea how to set about promoting a product, other than writing a sales page and putting it on their website. There is more to promotion than just that, and here are a few methods that can be used to dramatically increase your sales.
ARTICLE MARKETING
Article marketing is a must. You must write a few articles about your product and submit them to as many highly ranked article directories as possible. The article must be related to the product without giving any secrets away, and you must have a link in your resource box that leads to your sales page. This should preferably be an anchor link containing the product name where appropriate, which should also be the name of the sales page. Write and submit two articles each week and you should begin to notice an increase in the number of visitors to your sales page.
EMAIL COURSES
How about providing an email course on the topic off your product? This involves using an opt-in form on a page on your website to which visitors are directed, or even a squeeze page, the objective of which is to collect email addresses to which you can promote your product. You should offer a course that provides information on the topic of your product, and preferable over seven or eight parts. Everybody who opts to receive will be sent one part of your course every two or three days. The promotion comes with the link that you will provide at the end of each part, offering more information on the whole subject with your product.
It has been demonstrated that prospects need around seven or eight exposures to a product before they will make a purchase, and an e-course is an ideal way of doing that. You should set your autoresponder to send the parts out at set intervals after registration.
EZINE ADS
It doesn’t matter what the subject of your product is – there will be an ezine on that subject and perhaps a large number of them. Seek them out and check out the advertising prices. It is sometimes very inexpensive to place an ezine ad, but if the price is too high for you why not contact the owner? Explain that you want to advertise the product, and ask for a free advert in exchange for a percentage of any sales resulting from that advert. It is easy to determine what advert was the source of the sale.
